Now in it’s second year Barry Packaging is starting it’s 2012 Pink Carrier Bag Campaign to benefit the Irish Cancer Society’s Action Breast Cancer. Barry Packaging has developed a pink carrier bag suitable for all retailers to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October. This year the total amount of €35.00 from every box of bags sold will be donated to the Irish Cancer Society’s Action Breast Cancer.

Eamonn Barry, Managing Director, Barry Packaging said, “We are delighted to continue our support for the Irish Cancer Society’s Action Breast Cancer this year, we sold over 7,500 Bags during our campaign last year and are confident we will surpass that this year. This year we have decided to donate the full €35.00 of every box to this fantastic, hard working charity. The Carrier Bags went down very well with our customers last year and we hope to build on last years success during our 2012 Campaign.”

“Carrier Bags are needed by retailers across all industries every single day, we are giving retailers the opportunity to purchase Carrier Bags and while doing so are supporting a very worthy charity. €35.00 for a box of 100 Bags to be used during the month of October is a small and simple way for retailers to get involved!”

The Irish Cancer Society’s Corporate Partnership’s Manager, Emma Barrett said, “We are delighted that Barry’s Packaging has once again chosen to partner with the Irish Cancer Society and raise money for breast cancer during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, October. Women living in Ireland have a 1 in 10 chance of developing breast cancer so it is vital that we continue to raise money for our breast cancer services and cancer research projects. This pink carrier bag is a novel and exciting way to raise funds and awareness.”
