€5 Off Orders on Fiver Friday, July 1st.

Barry Packaging, Kerry’s leading provider of Carrier Bags and Packaging products has brought Fiver Friday to Kerry. The idea was developed my Wicklow Town Council to encourage locals to spend €5 on Friday July 1st to support local shops and jobs. Since then the idea has been brought Nationwide by Joe Duffy on his Live Line Radio Show. Urging his listeners to dig into their pockets and spend just €5 in their local community to give it a much needed boost.

“Fiver Friday is a great and simple idea generated by the listeners for neighbours to help neighbours and to support the local community. Fiver Friday is the one reason we need to boost the local economy and community.” Joe Duffy said.
The concept is simple — on Friday July 1, buy lunch at a local cafe instead of making it at home, or purchase the evening’s dinner at your local butcher’s instead of at a supermarket chain or surprise someone with flowers from your local florist.
Barry Packaging is taking it from a business perspective and offering retailers €5.00 off all orders taken on July 1st both at the store in Monavalley or Online. Retailers can take advantage of Fiver Friday and get their carrier bags, cake boxes, packaging products or wrapping paper at a reduced cost!
Owner Eamonn Barry: “Every little helps retailers today and we want to help support our local businesses and encourage people to buy local.”
Businesses can get involved by signing up and registering their offer details at www.fiverfriday.com
