“Bag yourself a designer bargain”

This year we are proudly supporting Fashion Relief event created by Lorraine Keane and Oxfam Ireland. We are donating bags for each of their locations:

City Hall Cork – Sunday 17th Feb

RDS Dublin – Sunday 10th March

Galmont Hotel Galway – Sunday 31st March

Last years success raised over €60,000 for people facing hunger and starvation in East Africa. Lorraine Keane has collaborated with Oxfam to create this event in order to raise funds and awareness for those in need. “The Fashion Relief story began when I read an article online about how Oxfam was struggling to alert people to the world’s worst ever hunger crisis” said Lorraine Keane.

Here at Barry Packaging we cherish giving back to the community. We are excited to be a part of this event and supporting the charity.

This year they are taking it on the road with the addition of Cork and Galway locations. A host of Irish celebrities joined Lorraine Keane for the launch of the event as it becomes “bigger and better” this year.  The fundraising event showcases rail after rail of designer and pre-loved clothes donated. Well know stars have donated bargains such as Miriam O’Callaghan, Bono, Cillian Murphy, Kathryn Thomas, Lucy Kennedy, Andrew Trimble, Amanda Byram and many more!

They are creating an event which makes donating fun and we are getting involved! Best of luck from all at Barry Packaging as the countdown begins to these events!
