Barry Packaging Goes Pink for October

Barry Packaging has developed an Action Breast Cancer pink carrier bag to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October. 14 cent from every bag sold will be donated to Action Breast Cancer, a programme of the Irish Cancer Society.
Eamonn Barry, Managing Director, Barry Packaging said, “Action Breast Cancer is a charity close to everybody’s heart and we wanted to be able to give something back. We deal with millions of Carrier Bags a year and thought this was an ideal opportunity to try something different for a good cause.”

Women living in Ireland have a 1 in 10 chance of developing breast cancer so it is imperative that we continue to promote the breast awareness message and raise funds enabling Irish scientists to find new therapies to prevent breast cancer, better techniques to diagnose it accurately and ultimately new treatments which will cure it. The Action Breast Cancer carrier bag is a novel and exciting way to raise funds and raise awareness.”
